Eating Out

There are a number of fantastic restaurants if you fancy an evening out. We also have a local farm shop for some supplies so you can cook on our firepits and barbeque for a cosy night in. Below are some of our recommendations:

  • The Lion and Unicorn pub in Thornhill is only 4 miles away. Always a good atmosphere and they do great pub food.

  • This is set on the shores of the Lake of Menteith and is a beautiful, cosy place to go for a bar lunch or smarter dinner, 2miles away.

  • Nick Nairn has two restaurants near to us. They are a favourite of ours. He also has a cookery school if you fancied rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in!

  • A longer drive away, but if you are celebrating or just fancy a really superb dinner or lunch, this is the place to go – approx. 50mins drive. Check out their website as they also have a great bakery in Calander and a roadside diner too, all worth investigating.

  • Just as you turn off the A84 to come towards us, this place has a wonderful butchery – best in the area in our opinion, and you can stock up on all sorts of delicious treats. Also good for a coffee, or lunch.

  • A couple of miles the other side of Thornhill towards Kippen – this is a fabulous place for lunch and has a great farm shop too, with a Mellis cheese counter…
